Step-by-step guide to access your raw genetic data
Instructions
Step 1: Sign in
First, go to the 23andMe website or app on your computer and log in to your account
Step 2: Find the download option
Click your profile image or name, usually in the top corner, then select "Browse Raw Data" in the menu that appears.
Step 3: Ask to download
On the "Browse Raw Data" page, click the "Download" button.
Step 4: Read the important stuff
Review the information shown about what you are downloading.
Step 5: Consent
Check the box confirming you understand and agree to proceed.
Step 6: Submit the request
Click the "Submit Request" button to begin data preparation.
Step 7: Wait for the email
23andMe will email you when your data is ready. This might take a little while.
Step 8: Download from the email
Click the link or attachment in the email to download your DNA file.
That’s it! You now have a copy of your raw DNA data. The downloaded file will be in a plain text format containing letters and numbers that represent your genetic code. Be sure to keep this file secure. You are now ready to use it with MonadicDNA!
